One more card to share with you tonight, once again inspired by the Sparkle and Shine class at Online Card Classes and the Paper Smooches May Challenge.
I loved how Julie Ebersole's covered the butterflies on her card with sticky embossing powder and Rock Candy Distress Glitter, so I decided to try it on this card with a Paper Smooches flower stamp. I actually didn't have a stamp big enough to stamp over the entire image, so I just masked off a rectangle and then took my Versamark ink pad directly to the paper. It's so sparkly in person, even though it's hard for me to capture on camera. I actually think the quick photo I took with my phone inside last night captures the sparkle better than the photos I took outside, so I'm using that photo and a close up from outside. The differences in the colors is kind of crazy though.
I love how it looks and I'm already dreaming about doing the same thing with snowflakes on Christmas tags. It's never too early to plan, right? :)
The background was done with a Simon Says Stamp stencil and Bo Bunny glitter paste.
I think that's it for me tonight. I hope these last few posts sound ok. I've rushing through them as my computer wasn't cooperating and it took me a lot longer to do these than I had planned on. Oh well - cleaning up the mess from making these cards can wait until the weekend, right? But if you have any questions, let me know.
Happy Friday Eve!

glitter birthday card
I'll admit, I almost tossed the background of this card because it wasn't turning out how I had pictured it. But I'm glad I didn't, because I really like how it turned out.
I was once again inspired by the Sparkle and Shine Online Card Class, as well as the Paper Smooches May Challenge - flowers.
I used Doodlebug glitter in bright colors to make the background, then I added white die cut flowers and a white heat embossed greeting from Paper Smooches. The scalloped border die is from Pretty Pink Posh.
It's so bright and sparkly. I love it! I hope you like it too. :)

sparkle and shine
I'm taking the Sparkle and Shine class from Online Card Classes, and I also needed a birthday card for my friend, Mekell, so I made this card.
Mekell loves glitter and gold, so I used both. It was late when I finished, and I needed it for the next day, so I just have the one photo that I took with my phone in bad lighting. That's what I get for being a procrastinator! :)
I used Glitter Ritz glitter on Scor-Tape. The dies are from Mama Elephant (background) and Paper Smooches (happy birthday). I also used a Wink of Stella glitter pen on the black cardstock, so it's really sparkly.
Mekell loved it, and I hope you like it too!
Sorry this is really fast. I'm attempting to get to bed early tonight, as I have been up late every night for the past week. It probably won't happen though! I just can't seem to manage it lately. I get distracted too easily. :)
Bye for now!

finally another post
I know I said I would be blogging at least once on Sundays in my last blog post in April, but what can I say? I've had a lot of family things that have fallen on Sundays lately, so I just haven't had a chance. But I'm back, finally, with a card that I made several weeks ago.
I wish I could have photographed this better. It looks so much cooler in person. The whole thing is covered with Glitter Ritz glitter except for the black outline. The red, silver, and black interior is totally glittered. It's so sparkly in person. I really like it, although now that I look at it, the background reminds me of a chain link fence. Ha ha! Oh well! :)
I used the hexagon background die from Simon Says Stamp and the hello die is from Lawn Fawn. I was inspired by this card of Jennifer McGuire's. This was such a fun technique. I will have to try it again sometime.
Can you believe it's June already? Where does the time go?
Oh, and by the way - my self-imposed schedule has been going pretty well. There's days when I don't follow it, of course, especially last week, since it was my dad's birthday and we had some family things, and then I got sick. But I'm feeling so much better now, so I'm getting back to it.

paper smooches sparks challenge
I decided to enter the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge for the first time. I always see the challenges on the blog, but I've never made anything for it. But today I felt like playing with some dies and stamps.
I covered the Paper Smooches Tag Stitched Die with some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then I die cut the Paper Smooches Rainbow out of some Stampin' Up double-sided adhesive on top of Neenah white cardstock. I adhered Doodlebug glitter to give the rainbow color. I then used double-sided Scor-tape on Neenah cardstock, and stamped the cloud from Paper Smooches Spectrum on top of the sticky tape using Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow Ink. Then I covered the cloud with Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter, and then cut it out. I attached the rainbow and cloud to the tag with Glue Dots and 3M foam adhesive. Then I stamped the greeting from Paper Smooches Spectrum on a scrap of Neenah cardstock with the Soft Granite ink, and cut it into a banner shape. I used a little more Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the edges. I glued that down, and then tied some Doodlebug twine at the top. I like how it turned out. It's very colorful and fun, which is what I needed today, as it snowed again. I'm so ready for spring!
Thanks for stopping by!
